NASCAR Hall of Fame Revs Up for May Race Activities
Member Appreciation Month, Class of 2018 Voting Day & Announcement, 2nd Saturday and Military Appreciation Days among offerings
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (May 12, 2017) – The NASCAR Hall of Fame has a full lineup of exhilarating experiences for fans and visitors surrounding 10 Days of Thunder at Charlotte Motor Speedway, the Circle K Speed Street presented by Coca-Cola festival and other motorsports activities in Charlotte. From Racing Insiders Tours to the momentous announcement of the Class of 2018 to multiple driver and legends appearances, guests will find high-octane happenings at the NASCAR Hall of Fame all month long.

MEMBER APPRECIATION MONTH
The NASCAR Hall of Fame is celebrating Member Appreciation Month throughout May with daily giveaways, discounts and exclusive events for members, like a Q&A and autograph session with Joey Logano, historian-led tours, a simulator racing challenge, an artifact sneak peek, an autograph session with the Class of 2018 and more. Additional member benefits include annual admission, unlimited simulator rides, member gifts, access to exclusive content and events, and discounts. 2ND SATURDAY
The month of May will also kick off the NASCAR Hall of Fame’s new 2nd Saturday program. On the second Saturday of each month, additional educational programming will be available for kids and kids at heart. The theme of the first 2nd Saturday program on May 13 is “A Look at the Legends,” which spotlights NASCAR Hall of Famers through interactive mini discovery activities. MILITARY APPRECIATION DAYS PRESENTED BY TOYOTA
From May 18 to 29, leading up to Memorial Day, the NASCAR Hall of Fame and Toyota are honored to offer all active, reserve, veteran and retired military personnel complimentary admission and unlimited simulator rides with a valid military ID while supplies last. CAROLINAS AVIATION MUSEUM DISCOUNT
The Carolinas Aviation Museum is offering a special discount to race fans. Guests who show their NASCAR Hall Fame ticket (or NASCAR Hall of Fame members who show their membership card) at the door at the Carolinas Aviation Museum, home to “The Miracle on the Hudson,” from May 20 to 31 will receive $2 off admission (general admission is $12).
CLASS OF 2018 VOTING DAY AND ANNOUNCEMENT
On Wednesday, May 24, the NASCAR Hall of Fame Voting Panel will meet in Charlotte to determine the five members of the NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2018 and the recipient of the 2018 Landmark Award for Outstanding Contributions to NASCAR. The public is invited to join members of the Voting Panel, NASCAR legends and other fans in the NASCAR Hall of Fame's Great Hall for the official announcement, which will air live on NBC Sports Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio at 6 p.m. EDT. Fans still have time to lock in their votes for the legends they think should be in the Class of 2018 by submitting a Fan Vote on nascarhall.com/inductees/fanvote by 11:59 p.m. EDT on Monday, May 22. The top five nominees with the most fan votes will be cast as the final ballot on Voting Day.
RACINGS INSIDERS TOURS
The Racing Insiders Tour is an all-access, in-depth tour in and around Charlotte's racing community. Offering two different routes, the tour starts at the NASCAR Hall of Fame, and then participants hop on a motorcoach to visit various race shops and local racing attractions. This all-inclusive package covers lunch, associated admission costs for the day of the tour, plus admission to the NASCAR Hall of Fame for the following day. This month, two special Racing Insiders Tours will be available for fans. On Monday, May 22, the I-85 Racing Insiders Tour will feature NASCAR driver Kurt Busch. And in conjunction with the current special exhibit at the Hall, “PETTY: Building a Family Legacy,” the Racing Insiders Tour on Tuesday, May 23 will include a tour of the Petty Museum and Victory Junction camp in Randleman, North Carolina, followed by a meet and greet with Kyle Petty at the NASCAR Hall of Fame.
