CHARLOTTE, N.C. (May 17, 2016) – Surrounding the 10 days of NASCAR Thunder at Charlotte Motor Speedway and the Circle K & Kangaroo Speed Street presented by Coca-Cola in Center City May 26-28, the NASCAR Hall of Fame is offering many ways for fans and visitors to fuel up on fun during race week.
From Racing Insiders Tours to the momentous announcement of the Class of 2017 to multiple driver and legend appearances, guests will find high-octane happenings at the NASCAR Hall of Fame all month long.
The NASCAR Hall of Fame is also celebrating Member Appreciation Month throughout May with daily giveaways, discounts and exclusive events for members, like a Q&A and autograph session with Joey Logano, historian-led tours, a simulator racing challenge, an artifact sneak peek, an autograph session with the Class of 2017 and more. Additionally, each time a member visits the NASCAR Hall of Fame in May, he or she will be entered for a chance to win a VIP experience at the Bojangles’ Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016. Additional member benefits include: annual admission, unlimited simulator rides, member gifts, access to exclusive content, discounts and more. And on Wednesday, May 25, the NASCAR Hall of Fame Voting Panel will meet in Charlotte to determine the five members of the NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2017 and the recipient of the 2017 Landmark Award for Outstanding Contributions to NASCAR. The public is invited to join members of the Voting Panel, NASCAR legends and other fans in the NASCAR Hall of Fame's Great Hall for the official announcement, which will air live on NBC Sports Network, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, NASCAR.com and MRN.com at 5 p.m. EDT. Fans still have time to lock in their votes for the legends they think should be in the Class of 2017 by submitting a Fan Vote on NASCAR.com/halloffame by 12:01 a.m. EDT on Monday, May 23. The top five nominees with the most fan votes will be cast as the final ballot on Voting Day.

3 p.m. EDT - Interstate Batteries and Joes Gibbs Racing 25th Anniversary Announcement featuring Kyle Busch
Fans are invited to join 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Kyle Busch, four-time championship-winning car owner and team owner Joe Gibbs, Chairman of the Board for Interstate Batteries Norm Miller and 2014 NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee Dale Jarrett as Interstate Batteries and Joe Gibbs Racing make a special 25th anniversary announcement in the NASCAR Hall of Fame's Great Hall.

NASCAR Hall of Fame members are invited to join Joey Logano, driver of the No. 22 Ford Fusion in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series for Team Penske, and members of his Team Logano fan club for a volunteer kit build for the American Red Cross in the NASCAR Hall of Fame’s Great Hall. Following the service activity, Logano will participate in a Q&A and private autograph session (one item per person).

10 a.m. EDT - NASCAR Hall of Fame Voting Day VIP (Legends members only)
NASCAR Hall of Fame Legends members will have access to an exclusive area located behind the scenes, just outside the all-important Voting Room in the Charlotte Convention Center.
5 p.m. EDT - NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2017 Announcement
From the list of 20 NASCAR Hall of Fame nominees, five inductees will be elected by the NASCAR Hall of Fame Voting Panel, which includes a nationwide fan vote on NASCAR.com. Join us in the Great Hall as the NASCAR Hall of Fame's eighth class is announced live on NBC Sports Network, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, NASCAR.com and MRN.com. The newly announced inductees will also participate in a Q&A at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Media Center during the Coca-Cola 600 weekend.

To accommodate the adrenaline-pumping action and thousands of fans coming to town this month, the NASCAR Hall of Fame will also feature special operating hours beginning May 20, offering even more time for fans to explore the Hall and the current special exhibits and artifacts on display. Among them are the “Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Team Penske” exhibit and the “Kyle Busch NASCAR XFINITY Series No. 54 Toyota Camry.”
