Four popular Broadway musicals hit the stage at historic Ovens Auditorium this season
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Sept. 20, 2017) – Ovens Auditorium, located in the East Charlotte neighborhood just outside of Uptown Charlotte, will host four hit Broadway musicals this season presented by Blumenthal Performing Arts.

Blumenthal’s 2017-18 PNC Broadway Lights Series kicks off Tuesday, Oct. 31 at 8 p.m. with On Your Feet! The Emilio & Gloria Estefan Broadway Musical at Ovens Auditorium. Below is the full lineup of Broadway shows at Ovens Auditorium during the 2017-18 season.

While season tickets for the 2017-18 PNC Broadway Lights Series at Belk Theater are sold out, individual tickets for On Your Feet! The Emilio & Gloria Estefan Broadway Musical and School of Rock are still available due to the larger seating capacity at Ovens Auditorium. Patrons may also purchase Encore Series season tickets, which includes five Tony Award-winning musicals including Les Misérables and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical as well as other season ticket holder benefits.

Open since 1955, Ovens Auditorium is a historic performing arts venue in Charlotte. The venue has hosted hundreds of Broadway musicals since 1957—the first was Pajama Game in January of that year. Other Broadway shows that have graced the stage throughout the years include The Sound of Music, West Side Story, Chicago, Cats, The Wizard of Oz and Wicked —the latter of which was sold out in 2008, 2010, 2013 and 2016.
